**About Us**:
Intellectual Disabilities Society (IDS) offers several programs and services that support the development, independence, and empowerment of adults, children, and families. With 11 staffed homes, respite, life-skills, home-sharing and day programs serve over 500 adults and children. Our over 200 employees work hard to meet the unique needs of the North and West Vancouver Communities.

**Job Overview**:
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Director of Human Resources to join our team. As the Director of Human Resources, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the HR function, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and developing and implementing HR policies and programs. This is a key leadership role that will contribute to the overall success of our society.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall objectives of the society.
- Oversee the recruitment and selection process, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new employees
- Manage employee relations, including handling employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and performance management
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations and the collective agreement as IDS is a unionized environment.
- Lead the development and implementation of training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge
- Collaborate with department managers to identify staffing needs and develop workforce planning strategies
- Oversee the maintenance of HR systems such as UKG, ShareVision
- Manage the UKG implementation process
- Manage the HR budget and ensure cost-effective utilization of resources
- Drive process improvement initiatives to streamline HR policies and processes
- Provide guidance and support on complex HR issues
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field; Master's degree preferred
- Proven experience as a Director of Human Resources or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of human resources management principles and best practices
- Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations
- Previous experience in a unionized environment
- Experience with HRIS systems such UKG
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong program management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement initiatives
- Training development experience is preferred
Pay: $85,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
