Plant Supervisor

**Job Summary**:
The Plant Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of production, including production scheduling, quality control, inventory management, and employee management. This role requires a strong leader with excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as a deep understanding of manufacturing processes.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand and optimize production efficiency.
- Monitor and maintain quality control standards to ensure that products meet established specifications.
- Manage inventory levels to ensure that raw materials and finished products are available as needed.
- Order supplies, equipment, and/or services, as well as inventory control of these items.
- Conduct and assist in investigations. Follow up with the root cause that are identified from 5 WHYs, create incident reports and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performances, and quality of product.
- Manage and motivate a team of employees, including training and development, performance management, scheduling and staffing.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations and protocols, maintaining a safe and healthy workplace.
- Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes and reduce waste.
- Identifies, monitors and reports on production key performance indicators, identifies trends and makes recommendations to enhance productivity.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction. Communicate with the production employees on a continual basis to boost morale, recognize good work, assist with problems and to promote a safe, accident-free environment.
- Maintain accurate production records and prepare regular reports for management.
- Champion Health and Safety and Food Safety Committees to meet or exceed all company requirements.
- Meet productivity efficiency targets with the right headcount and within budgets.
- Lead and manage the operations across two shifts with the support of lead hands and shipping/receiving leader.
- Inspect and monitor equipment to ensure they are operational and in good working order in coordination with maintenance associates.
- Guides and assists in solving production problems and ensures high standards are adhered to for general maintenance, safety, and preventative maintenance.
- Perform other related tasks as needed.

**Requirements**:

- Previous management experience in a manufacturing environment (5 years)
- Experience with Change Management initiatives considered an asset
- Good understanding of financial metrics and indicators for improvement
- Acts with urgency in all matters pertaining to day-to-day operations
- Demonstrated Lean Manufacturing skills an asset
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in operating computer systems (Windows, Microsoft Office, Outlook)
- Excellent analytical skills
- Flexible to work hours to support two shift operations
- Problem-solving, must be able to quickly ascertain a situation and be decisive in solving it, such as identifying defects in a production line.
- Time Management, ability to face production deadlines, shipping dates and more, must manage time accordingly
- Knowledge of safety systems and processes.
- Mechanical Aptitude
- Able to lift at least 50 lbs
- Safety Shoes required

**Salary**: $70,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
