We are currently seeking a Facilities Specialist who can be nice, will seek inspiration from our roots, can commit to achieving results the right way and loves to think big to join us on our journey. The Facilities Specialist is responsible for supporting the Facilities Manager in maintaining the aspirational look and feel of the Roots office, factory, distribution center and retail spaces. As a key member of the Facilities Team, you will oversee day-to-day facilities maintenance & repair functions and collaborate with strategic business partners.

The Facilities Specialist for Roots will be responsible for the following:

- Manage the scheduling of building maintenance and repairs across the business including planning, communication, and coordination with vendors.
- Receives, manages and processes store work order (WO) requests; ensures timely service delivery, and quick problem resolution.
- Keeps WO records, tracks deliverables and communicates updates to stakeholders.
- Coordinates and oversees on-demand, and preventative work assignments performed by technicians, vendors and contractors performing building maintenance, property management and repair work.
- Maintains preventative maintenance schedule and service records to ensure compliance.
- Obtains and maintains records specific to building assets, condition and end of life replacement.
- Coordinates furniture repairs, inventory and allocations to stores and offices.
- Fosters relationships with each internal and external partner, addressing FM service needs and managing expectations.
- Supports with delivery of services and utilities pertaining to store openings and closings across our retail network.
- Collaborates effectively with cross-functional business partners.
- Provides FM support for special corporate events and other business activities.
- Executes and supports in the completion of repairs pertaining to Joint Health & Safety Committee inspections.
- Coordinates and manages moves, adds and change activities for all locations.
- Acts as liaison between contractors and employees in delivery of FM services.
- Obtains price quotes for the procurement of parts, services, and labor.
- Trains vendors on work order and billing procedures.
- Supports and drives process development and continuous improvement.
- Responsible for invoice processing and accuracy of cost center coding.
- Remove obstacles and redirect efforts in order to move work forward.
- Strong knowledge of Facilities Management principles, H&S, Fire Code.
