Our teams in the Greater Toronto Area (“GTA”), Montreal, Calgary and Vancouver have diverse backgrounds, languages and cultures which mirrors our business and our clients, living the concept that diversity makes us stronger. We have growing markets across the country and are looking for individuals to take ownership of client engagements and relationships, using business acumen and a consulting mindset, to provide assistance in the areas of remote work, business travelers, global payroll, and managed services.

**Job Description**:
As a Tax Manager, you will work as a part of a team of professionals helping to solve complex business problems from strategy to execution. Your responsibilities will include:

- Focus on building trusting relationships with Vialto teams and clients.
- Pursue opportunities to develop existing and new skills to provide value to our clients.
- Analyze complex ideas or proposals and develop a series of meaningful recommendations.
- Use multiple sources of information, including broader stakeholder perspectives, to develop solutions and recommendations.
- Act to resolve issues as they arise.
- Review/signing of Canadian and/or US personal income tax returns and related forms/deliverables
- Develop perspectives on key global trends and their impact on the business and our clients.
- Train your teams and encourage ownership of their development.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven success and solid experience in expatriate taxation; knowledge of personal income tax in Canada and the US is essential.
- Strong customer service skills and experience in client facing roles.
- US professional accounting designation, such as CPA or Enrolled Agent, or willingness to obtain one.
- Knowledge of payroll and equity compensation.
- Demonstrated business development skills and enthusiasm to contribute to Vialto’s continued growth and success.
- An interest in improving digital and technology skills, learning new tools and adapting the way you work.
- A commitment to valuing differences, developing and coaching diverse teams, and ensuring diverse perspectives are heard.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to lead teams.
- Proven track record in managing multiple assignments, clients and employees.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and a proactive attitude.
