Campus & Community Recreation is the host of multiple wellness activities and events that run throughout the University of Alberta campus. This includes recreational events and programs that are available at North Campus as well as South Campus.

From group exercise to individualized personal training; from healthy living activities to physical assessments preparing for specific work environments; from recreational sports to elite sport training; and a range of ethnic and cultural dance, Campus & Community Recreation has the breadth and depth of activities to enhance the experiences of students, staff and community members alike.

**Position**

Reporting to the Team Lead, Client Services, the Customer Service Coordinator is an integral member of the Campus & Community Recreation team. Campus & Community Recreation supports the management of sport and recreation facilities, programs, services and events serving a variety of communities including University of Alberta students, staff, Faculty and general community members. Campus & Community Recreation also supports the facility and service needs of the Faculty of Kinesiology, Sport, and Recreation and the Varsity Athletics programs through the provision of dedicated sports and recreation space for teaching, research, training, and competition.

The Customer Service Centre is a high-volume area (open for 100+ hours per week of customer service) that provides information on recreational programs, memberships, facilities, sporting and recreational events, services and online access to service units. This position involves providing customer service for all areas within Campus & Community Recreation, the Faculty of Kinesiology, Sport, and Recreation (KSR) and the Steadward Centre that conduct financial transactions through the Recreation Management Software system as part of their daily operations; such as registrations, memberships, drop-in activities and rental contracts. The Customer Service Coordinator provides support to the daily financial operations by handling front-line customer service issues, maintaining client expectations and processing financial transactions. There is an expectation to be a contributing member of the Campus & Community Recreation team by providing recommendations for department-wide communication and administrative activities.

- Provide accurate and professional frontline customer service in a high-volume and fast-paced environment.
- Work daily with the RMS system to process registrations, and memberships, input data, and complete monetary transactions.
- Communicate with participants regarding program changes and cancellations.
- Provides and maintains locker rentals for members.
- Responsible for generating data reports.
- Communicate with program coordinators to update and maintain current program registration data and waitlists.
- Assist with communication of upcoming events or changing processes to Customer Service areas.
