**What You’ll Be Doing**
We’re looking for a detail-driven **Accounting Technician / Bookkeeper** to be the right-hand support to our **Controller** and help build a solid financial backbone for our growing company. This role is perfect for someone who is **highly organized, detail-oriented, flexible, and adaptable**. You should have a **strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work within various organizational frameworks.** If you thrive in a **fast-paced, collaborative environment**, we want to hear from you
**Core Responsibilities**:
- Managing **accounts payable and receivable**, including invoicing, payment processing, and collections.
- Preparing **payroll** with our provider and entering payroll data in our accounting system.
- Recording **bills, invoices, journal entries, and payments** with precision and efficiency.
- Maintaining accurate, up-to-date financial records that help drive strategic decisions.
**Beyond the Basics**:
- Assisting in **financial reporting & analysis** (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow).
- Supporting **month-end & year-end closing** processes.
- Helping with **budgeting, forecasting, and tax filings (GST/QST)**.
- Contributing to the **development of accounting systems & automation** in Odoo ERP.
**What We’re Looking For**
You’re someone who **loves structure, accuracy, efficiency, and teamwork**—but also can work independently and thrive in a fast-moving tech environment. You enjoy problem-solving and don’t just follow processes; you **help** **improve them**.
**Must-Haves**:
**Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience**
**3-5 years of relevant accounting experience**, ideally in manufacturing or inventory-heavy environments
**Strong analytical and problem-solving skills**
**Proficiency in accounting software and Excel**
**Fluency in English (spoken & written); French is a strong asset**
**Bonus Points For**: Experience with **Odoo ERP** (big advantage) Knowledge of **Canadian tax regulations**
