The Opportunity:

We’re looking to fill an opening for a Senior Mutual Fund Administrator to join the Operations Asset Management team.

Reporting to the Supervisor Operations, the Senior Mutual Fund Administrator will be responsible for the processing of registered plan products with a primary focus on Registered Education Savings Plans (RESP) and Group Retirement Saving Plans (GRSP). What your day looks like:

  • Ensuring accurate and timely execution of mutual fund trades and documents received from financial institutions, dealers, advisors and investors
  • Dealing directly with dealers, credit unions and financial institutions inquiries in all matters relating to mutual fund transactions, holdings and reporting requirements
  • Processing internal and external adjustments for Registered Education Savings Plans (RESP) and Group Retirement Saving Plans accounts (GRSP)
  • Processing notional values for Registered Education Savings Plans (RESP) transfer-in and transfer-out
  • Processing RESPs, estates, marriage breakdown requests, and bankruptcies
  • Uploading, reviewing and reconciling monthly incoming and outgoing Canada Education Savings Grant (CESG) processing file
  • Uploading the annual Québec Education Savings Incentive (QESI) incoming processing file and error files
  • Monitoring daily/monthly reports and queries
  • Completing daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual tasks within prescribed deadlines
  • Actively participating in department meetings and providing recommendations on improving department processes and procedures
  • Supporting onboarding, coaching, mentoring, and ongoing development of team members.
  • Keeping informed of regulatory, industry and trustee updates
  • Participating in department strategic initiatives and special projects as assigned

Your experience and skills:

  • Post‑secondary education in Finance, Business or a related field is an asset
  • 5 years related work experience in Registered Plans
  • Completion of the CSC course
  • Proven ability to manage competing tasks, set priorities, and meet deadline
  • Application of strong analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail. Analyzes discrepancies and provides solutions
  • Experience with Unitrax is an asset
  • Strong experience with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Works independently and in a team environment
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent Communications in English are required and bilingual skills in French are an asset
