Automotive Technician / Engineer for Smart Security System Installation

The Role

We're looking for a skilled and motivated Auto Electrician to join our team in Ontario. You'll become a key expert in the professional installation of our advanced smart security systems - S5 and P8 - across various vehicle makes and models, while also training installer partners and supporting test installations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform professional and precise installation of Gazer's S5 and P8 smart security systems
  • Work confidently with CAN, CAN FD, and LIN bus systems during integration and diagnostics
  • Read and work from wiring diagrams and connection schematics
  • Disassemble and reassemble vehicle interior trim/panels as needed for clean, professional installs
  • Ensure high-quality wiring and integration with existing vehicle electronic systems
  • Receive full hands-on training to master Gazer's proprietary technology
  • Train installer partners on correct installation procedures and best practices
  • Conduct test installations and provide technical support and quality checks on installed units

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as an Auto Electrician or Automotive Technician
  • Practical understanding of and hands-on experience with CAN, CAN FD, and LIN bus systems - non-negotiable
  • Experience installing aftermarket security, alarm, or telematics systems
  • Comfortable working from wiring/connection diagrams
  • Experience disassembling vehicle interiors (panels, trim) for installation work
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and diagnostic tools
  • Ability to learn quickly and work with new AI-integrated technologies
  • High attention to detail and a responsible work ethic
  • Valid driver's license and own vehicle required - you'll be traveling across the region for installations and partner training; fuel costs covered by the company
  • Basic auto electrical hand tools preferred
