Sierra Construction's General Contracting Division is seeking a skilled and versatile Construction Service Finish Technician with a strong foundation in carpentry and a broad range of general contracting skills. This role is essential to ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards, supporting final finishing stages, deficiency completion, and post-construction service work.
This position reports to the Field Operations Manager and works closely with field staff, site leadership, and project teams to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and with a strong focus on quality and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
Complete high-quality finishing work including drywall install/repair, painting, flooring, caulking, and trim/millwork.
Perform rough and finish carpentry (framing, backing, adjustments, trim, detailed finishing).
Lead and execute final-stage tasks to elevate overall project quality, function, and appearance.
Conduct thorough inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with company standards and client expectations.
Respond to post-construction service calls efficiently, completing repairs and adjustments across a variety of scopes.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve deficiencies with a detail-oriented, solutions-focused approach.
Coordinate with field staff and site leaders to prioritize work and close out outstanding items.
Read and interpret building blueprints and shop drawings to complete work accurately.
Use company tools/software to document deficiencies, schedule work, and track closeout progress.
Communicate clearly with the Field Operations Manager, site leadership, and field staff regarding progress, material needs, and any constraints or risks.
Load/unload and move materials, tools, and equipment safely.
Set up, tear down, and maintain a clean and organized jobsite; dispose of debris properly.
Assist field staff with site preparation tasks (signage, safety barriers, protective coverings, work area readiness).
Maintain a strong safety-first approach; follow company policies and applicable safety requirements.
Report unsafe conditions and ensure tools and equipment are maintained and used properly.
Represent Sierra professionally when interacting with clients, subtrades, and partners.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures
Perform any other duties that may be assigned, whether specifically or generally related to the role

Required Knowledge and Experience:
~5+ years experience in carpentry and general contracting-related tasks.
~ Broad finishing experience including drywall install/repair, painting, flooring, rough and finish carpentry (framing, trim/millwork), and caulking/detailing.
~ Proficient in reading and interpreting drawings and shop drawings.
~ Comfortable using a variety of hand tools and construction equipment.
~ Detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and quality-driven.
~ Able to work effectively both independently and collaboratively with field teams.
~ Physically capable of repetitive lifting/moving of construction materials.
~ Willingness to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions when required.
~ Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (travel between sites required).
