General Manager

We are searching for a strategic, hands-on leader to oversee a growing multi-disciplinary business serving utility, C&I, telecom, energy, and infrastructure markets. This role is ideal for an executive who has led and scaled infrastructure or utility service organizations and is ready to take ownership of a full P&L, drive growth, and strengthen brand presence. The General Manager will be accountable for overall performance—including safety, operational excellence, financial outcomes, business development, and talent development—while representing the organization with clients, partners, and community stakeholders Key Responsibilities Lead a high-performing team delivering utility and infrastructure projects across Eastern Ontario Champion a safety-first culture across all field and office operations Ensure exceptional service delivery, operational discipline, quality, and financial performance Full P&L accountability: planning, forecasting, budgeting, risk management, and profitable growth Build strong, trust-based relationships with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders Drive business development efforts, expanding into new markets and identifying new revenue streams Lead strategic planning, service expansion, and execution of long-term growth initiatives Represent the company externally and strengthen its brand and market presence Implement systems and processes that raise operational standards and client satisfaction Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and leadership development Present quarterly updates to the Board and executive stakeholders Recruit, coach, mentor, and develop emerging leaders Stay ahead of industry trends and drive innovation within the business Who You Are A decisive, confident leader who excels in fast-moving environments A relationship builder who earns credibility with teams and clients A growth-oriented executive who sees opportunity and knows how to execute A hands-on operator who understands the details but leads with strategic vision A passionate ambassador for the organization's mission and market presence What You Bring Senior leadership experience in utility construction, infrastructure services, or related environments Demonstrated success growing a business, elevating operations, and driving profitability P&L ownership with experience overseeing multidisciplinary teams and complex projects Strong communication skills, emotional intelligence, and stakeholder-management capability Strategic thinking with the ability to lead organizational change and expand service offerings A commitment to developing talent and building future leaders Executive presence and confidence working with Boards and senior stakeholders Why This Role?
