Vancouver, Canada Square One Insurance Services Full time

We are seeking a Software Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. It’s essential that you possess proven experience in testing enterprise-level, web-based applications and mobile apps. Requirements Must have: Demonstrated experience in testing web-based software in a professional setting. Familiarity with quality assurance tools, methods, and concepts. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent data collection and analysis abilities, including SQL and database knowledge. High attention to detail. Experience in refining requirements and collaborating with business managers. Background in production environments. Additional qualifications that would be advantageous include: Experience utilizing GitHub Issues for software feature tracking. Background in automated testing, such as GUI testing via Selenium or API-driven testing. Previous exposure to the insurance or financial services sectors. Understanding of billing complexities, rating algorithms, and interactions with payment platforms. Responsibilities: In this role, you’ll develop and execute test plans for specific features and bug fixes in our proprietary policy management system and mobile applications. You will also have the chance to leverage your business analysis skills to ensure all business requirements for new features are articulated and thoroughly scoped. Your duties will involve monitoring system usage in production, proactively identifying issues, and determining the steps necessary to reproduce them in our development environment. Moreover, you’ll be responsible for gathering requirement change requests from internal users, assessing business and technical impacts, identifying gaps in requested requirements, and participating in design sessions aimed at enhancing our business processes, operations, and flow of information. Company: At Square One, we are proud to be the first and fastest growing Insure-tech in Canada, where technology is central to our operations. Our team is dedicated to continuously improving technological advancements that scale our business and simplify customer interactions. Don’t just take our word for it; feel free to check out customer reviews on our website. As we experience significant growth across Canada, we’re eager to welcome another Quality Assurance Specialist to our team to uphold our software quality standards. We value meticulousness, allowing our customers to enjoy a seamless online experience without the hassle. You will find that working at Square One offers a supportive team environment that encourages your professional growth through training, mentoring, and necessary resources. Our workplace culture is collaborative and respectful, where each team member plays a pivotal role in our collective success without the burdens of bureaucracy. We prioritize doing things right rather than rushing features to completion. Your compensation will be personalized to reflect your individual contributions and includes a competitive base salary, vacation time, flexible health coverage, long-term disability support, and ongoing training opportunities. We welcome and encourage applications from all, including individuals with disabilities, and we provide accommodations upon request throughout the selection process. If you’re interested in being part of a close-knit team that values each member’s expertise, we’d love to hear from you. #J-18808-Ljbffr
