Job SummaryCariboo Memorial Hospital (CMH) is seeking a part‑time Urologist for the Cariboo region of British Columbia. The role involves full‑scope urologic practice with emphasis on reconstructive urology and complex incontinence management. Locum tenens are welcomed. ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive urologic care to patients in an outpatient setting.Perform surgical cases, reconstructive procedures, and manage complex incontinence.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and contribute to patient quality improvement.Participate in the NAVIG8 Emerging Physician Leaders Program for leadership development. QualificationsMedical degree recognized by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.Certification in Urology or equivalent postgraduate training.Strong work ethic, excellent interpersonal skills, and commitment to quality patient care.Experience in reconstructive urology and complex incontinence preferred.Valid licence to practice medicine in BC. Compensation & BenefitsFee‑for‑service with competitive remuneration. Additional benefits under the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA) include a 12.32% Retention Premium, a $19,092 Retention Flat Fee, relocation funding of $9,000–$15,000 (based on move location), and a $3,750 Recruitment Incentive (based on 0.25 FTE). Rural CME can earn up to $4,840 after four years in practice. Eligible candidates may also qualify for BC or Canada loan forgiveness programs. LocationWilliams Lake, British Columbia – a rural community with a population of 35,000 in the town and 62,000 in the Cariboo Regional District. The area offers abundant outdoor recreation and a close‑knit community. Cariboo Memorial Hospital is currently undergoing refurbishment, with an expected completion date in 2026, expanding inpatient capacity to 53 beds and adding new emergency and mental‑health units.
