Williams Lake – Williams Lake is in BC’s Central Interior Region, otherwise known as the Cariboo Chilcotin Region, and is famous for the annual Williams Lake Stampede. There is a population of approximately 35,000 in Williams Lake and surrounding areas with a total population of 62,000 for the Cariboo Regional District. A vast array of lakes, rivers, hiking and biking trails make Williams Lake and the surrounding area a great place for outdoor enthusiasts to camp, fish, hunt and play during the summer months while winter brings snowmobiling, skiing, snowboarding, and ice fishing. Role and Facility Information Cariboo Memorial Hospital is under renovation with planned completion of 2026. Currently a Level 2 Community Hospital in Williams Lake with 28 inpatient beds, CMH offers ER, OR, Med‑Surg, Obstetrical units, lab and diagnostic imaging, and an outpatient hemodialysis unit. The redevelopment project will add 25 inpatient beds for a total of 53, a new emergency department and mental‑health unit. Practice Details Cariboo Memorial Hospital is looking for a part‑time Urologist. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent interpersonal skills, and a commitment to providing quality patient care. The candidate will be competent with full scope of general urologic practice, with additional preference for experience in reconstructive urology and management of complex incontinence. Benefits and Incentives May be eligible for additional remuneration under the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA) including: Retention Premium 12.32%, Retention Flat Fee $19,092; Relocation Funding Available $9,000 – $15,000 based on move location; Recruitment Incentive $3,750.00 (based on 0.25 FTE); Other Benefits/Incentives: Rural CME: max of $4,840 after 4 years in practice. Rural incentives are subject to change; current rates confirmed at time of offer. Candidates with a BC or Canada student loan may be eligible for loan forgiveness programs.
