Technical Consultant I, Maximo

OverviewPosition Summary: We are seeking a Junior Maximo Consultant with 1–2 years of hands-on experience in IBM Maximo to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to deepen your technical expertise in Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) across various industries, focusing on improving equipment reliability and work efficiency.LocationHybrid/Home-based, CanadaReportingThis position reports to the Manager, Services and works closely with senior consultants and project teams.ResponsibilitiesSupport Maximo implementation projects under the guidance of senior consultants.Configuring and customizing IBM Maximo to meet client-specific requirements.Document Technical Designs and Requirements and user guides as needed.Participate in requirements gathering, solution design, testing, and deployment phases.Apply standardized software development lifecycle methodologies to project tasks.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.Learning & DevelopmentGain exposure to industry best practices in EAM and Maximo implementations.Receive mentorship from experienced consultants and participate in structured training.Develop skills in technical troubleshooting, data migration, and integration techniques.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized higher educational institution in the field of Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology.1 to 2 years of experience in IBM MaximoExperience in Java, JavaScript, SQL, or other Programming languagesExceptional written and verbal English communication skills.Proficient in use of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and SharePoint)Desired QualificationsUnderstanding of Relational Databases (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, etc.)Maximo Certification – Maximo Asset Management v7.1 or Higher.Intermediate or better with Structured Query Language (SQL) for DatabasesUnderstanding of UML for Data Modeling and Process ModelingExperience using the IBM Maximo Asset Management or related applications is a plusOtherThis is a full-time role expected to work 40 hours per week, hybrid or home-based in Canada.Required sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer.
