Sandvik Mining is seeking a Category Specialist – Load and Haul. As a Category Specialist for Load and Haul mining requirements, you will be the key interface between global portfolio teams, factories, and the sales areas. Your primary responsibility is to support sales activities of commercial offerings, ensure product readiness, provide competitive insights, and develop sales strategies that drive revenue growth. This role focuses on promoting value‑added solutions for underground mining operations across Canada, aligning with Sandvik’s commitment to safety, productivity, and digital innovation. What You Will Be Doing Lead initiatives to grow aftermarket sales for upgrades, retrofits, rebuilds, kits and components specific to the load and haul product lines. Offer strategic support in the mapping of market share by product offering and opportunity analysis by customer. Act as the primary contact between sales area teams and global category teams for commercial offerings, updates and new product introductions. Collaborate with Sales Managers to ensure pricing compliance and play an active role in formulating budgets/forecasts. Perform gap analysis on existing fleet to identify opportunities (including rebuilds) to strategize maximizing customer value. Support PSSR and Account Managers with tools, insights and regular status reports on business activities and market share. Monitor and analyze fleet data to support strategy development and identify high‑potential targets. Provide training and updates to sales personnel to ensure comprehensive understanding of offerings. Partner with local teams to develop and implement value‑added solutions that simplify processes and improve customer experience. Other duties as assigned. What You Will Bring Along 4-6 years directly related industry experience. System and Technical knowledge. Experience in sales, business development or customer service environments is an asset. Ability to travel up to 30% of the time. College / Trade School Diploma / University Degree. Technical Competencies Some Technical Knowledge: Understanding the operation, maintenance, and protocols of various machinery used in mining and construction as well as some aptitude for underground mining methods & applications. Mechanical Aptitude: Basic understanding of mechanical systems. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in tools like SAP, Power BI, and Excel. Soft Skills Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with key stakeholders. Decision‑Making Ability: Skill in making quick and effective decisions in high‑pressure situations. Teamwork and Collaboration: Ability to work well within a team and coordinate with various stakeholders. Active Listening: Ability to pay close attention to customer requirements, asking clarifying questions, and demonstrate that you value their input. Problem Solving: Ability to manage many complex problems, creating solutions and think critically to solve problems. Positive Attitude: Ability to maintain a friendly and optimistic demeanor while demonstrating empathy with the customer. Behavioral Competencies Stress Management: Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure, especially in emergency response situations. Attention to Detail: Meticulousness in following processes and procedures. Supervision: Works independently with general supervision. Sound communication and interpersonal skills.
