Role Description

This is a temporary contract for a Mechanical Engineer located in Victoria, BC for 3 months or near full time work on some current projects. The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing mechanical components and systems, creating detailed technical drawings, and collaborating with other engineers to develop product concepts. Daily tasks will include participating on project teams, drafting, 3D modelling, reviewing designs for compliance with industry standards, and iterating on designs based on feedback.

Desired Qualifications

  • B.Eng in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Proficiency in drafting in SolidWorks
  • Experience with P&ID. Specific experience with SMAP3D an asset.
  • Experience with data analysis for sport science and biomechanics an asset
  • CFD and FEA simulation experience
  • Experience with complex part and assembly design
  • Experience with electrical harness design
  • Ability to create detailed technical drawings and specifications
  • Experience with product development processes and project management
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work on-site in Victoria, BC
