Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role based in Toronto, ON for a Senior Staff Accountant. The Senior Staff Accountant will be responsible for managing and overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. Additional duties include preparing financial statements, coordinating tax filings, managing payroll processing, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The role requires regular collaboration with clients and internal teams, with some work-from-home flexibility.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in accounting software and general ledger functions
- Experience in corporate and personal tax preparation (T1, T2, T3)
- Experience in preparing Compilations/ Notice To Reader Financials
- Knowledge of HST management and reporting
- Strong skills in bookkeeping and payroll administration
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Effective communication and client management abilities
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation preferred
