What does a Executive Producer do at Hogarth? This role oversees the Post, Content and Studio production process, managing budgets, schedules and project delivery across video, animation, broadcast and digital content. The Executive Producer ensures production standards, stays ahead of industry trends, collaborates with producers, creatives and senior leadership, defines project scopes, optimises workflows and develops strategic solutions to production challenges. The position also involves vendor and talent sourcing, contract negotiation, RFP management, and mentoring junior team members. As a motivational and communicative leader, the Executive Producer cultivates a positive team culture and contributes to the company’s strategic growth in a global market. Responsibilities Oversee the full life cycle of projects, including estimates, scheduling, maintaining timelines, delivery, and wrap‑up Lead and manage all media production—short‑ and long‑form content, animation, graphics, field and studio shoots, OLV, broadcast, and social/digital content Champion the pursuit of excellence in craft and creativity, ensuring they are the driving force behind everything we do Partner with primary producers, project managers, creatives and client teams to define project scopes, align on Statements of Work (SOWs) and ensure all deadlines and budgets are met Manage and adjust production strategies as needed, proactively identifying issues and providing strategic solutions Collaborate with the Managing Director on project needs, talent sourcing, opportunities and sales strategies Oversee all video production and post‑production workstreams, ensuring alignment across teams and optimising workflows Build, nurture and sustain strong relationships with your team, external production and creative partners, artists, vendors and contract talent, while strategically leveraging strong negotiation skills Craft and manage RFPs for external vendors and contractors, overseeing selection and ongoing relationships Act as a highly communicative and motivational leader, fostering team growth while maintaining a positive and calm approach in high‑pressure situations Work collaboratively with senior leadership to shape a strategic vision for growth, driving expansion in a global market Requirements You know the value of “Managing the people first, then the project”. You’re enthusiastic and embrace change. An expert knowledge of post‑production processes along with an understanding of video production. Expert knowledge of post‑production tools, tech and project management software. Must be familiar with the use of project management and scheduling software. Exemplary people skills (you know how to “read the room” and manage to it). Strong understanding of current industry software and an awareness of new trends. Strong communication and customer service skills. A broad rolodex of freelance resources. The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from CA$ 90,000 to CA$ 140,000.
