  • Lead and mentor teams that include individual contributor roles such as Accounting Analyst I and/or Accounting Analyst II. This includes day to day leadership of staff, recruitment and selection, orientation, coaching and mentoring, performance feedback and supporting growth and development opportunities.
  • Prepare select monthly/quarterly and ad-hoc journal vouchers with high levels of complexity based on nature of accounts and/or dollar value. Identify, analyze, and reconcile inconsistent information and recommend adjustments where necessary. Support/troubleshoot for direct reports with more complicated reconciliation items
  • Collaborate closely with the auditors to provide requested financial information and supporting documents in a timely manner. Lead walkthroughs or testing procedures required by the auditors. Address any questions or clarifications raised by the auditors promptly and accurately. Ensure adherence to all policies and legislation regarding accurate reporting of financial results
  • Assist Senior Financial Manager to lead ad-hoc projects, such as system implementations or process improvements; conduct financial analysis for business decision-making as directed by manager. Champion business process changes on behalf of CCG team where needed

  • Ability to interpret and implement company policies and procedures, effectively transfer ideas, concepts, and information into effective and efficient strategies.
  • Ability to handle confidential, sensitive material and information in a positive and constructive manner.
  • Ability to summarize large quantities of information and data to provide meaningful, informative and strategically focused recommendations.
  • Effective time-management skills with the ability to plan and prioritize to meet deadlines and achieve objectives, both independently and within a team environment.
  • Demonstrates a high degree of autonomy and accountability while encouraging others to do the same.
  • Excellent at managing multiple priories with frequent interruptions between assignments and tasks.
  • Ability to clearly communicate (verbal and written) with stakeholders across varying levels.
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel Skills including ability to use lookups and pivot tables and utilize it to analyze financial data efficiently.
  • Application expertise (desirable): Infor M3, BPC/AFO, Blackline, Power BI, SharePoint, Workday MS Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor of Accounting/Finance
  • A professional accounting designation (CPA) is preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive finance and accounting related experience in an analytical role in Finance or Accounting.
  • Relevant experience with period-end close, financial analysis, internal control (CSOX), and financial process optimization.
  • Supervisory experience overseeing direct report would be considered an asset.
  • Domain Knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory requirements applicable to public companies (IFRS).
  • Some extended hours of work will be required from time to time.
