Position Overview At CAE Defense & Security Canada, our Training Center Operations (TCO) team spans 10 cities across the country, operating over 40 advanced training devices to support the Department of National Defence (DND) in preparing the next generation of aircrew and maintenance professionals. Our mission goes beyond delivering simulators, courseware, and training solutions; we ensure world‑class training delivery and operational excellence. By fostering long‑term partnerships with our customers, we continuously enhance and sustain training solutions throughout the lifecycle of Canada’s aircraft programs. Reporting to the Regional Leader, Training Center Operations West, the In‑Service‑Support (ISS) Project Manager will lead key programs, including the Fixed Wing Search and Rescue (FWSAR) and the Cormorant Mid‑Life Upgrade (CMLU). This is a pivotal role supporting one of Canada’s most noble missions: Search and Rescue. Responsibilities Manage and execute multiple ISS projects, ensuring alignment with PMO governance and contractual obligations. Develop and implement project management plans for low to medium complexity projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope, cost, and quality constraints. Apply organizational project management practices, policies, and procedures; share best practices across teams. Manage financial and operational resources to meet profitability targets. Coordinate technical activities and establish goals and objectives for projects of major financial impact. Ensure resources required for project execution are identified and secured. Manage relationships, communications, and negotiations with internal and external stakeholders, acting as the voice of the customer. Conduct project reviews and prepare reports for internal governance and executive‑level presentations. Support identification of deficiencies in customer specifications and propose innovative technical solutions. Negotiate subcontract terms and resolve project work‑schedule conflicts by reprioritizing activities. Support PMO efforts to introduce Earned Value Management System (EVMS) processes and ensure disciplined Information Management (IM). Required Qualifications & Experience University undergraduate degree in Engineering, Project Management, Commerce, or equivalent. At least 8 years of relevant experience, including at least 4 years of project management responsibility, preferably in a defense context. PMP certification or equivalent accreditation. Agile and versatile: thrives in dynamic environments, demonstrates creativity, and adapts to change. Inclusive and connected: builds strong relationships, demonstrates empathy, and fosters collaboration. Eligible for Canadian NATO Secret Security Clearance and Controlled Goods Clearance.
