The Town of Comox is seeking an experienced, dynamic **Asset and Facilities Manager**to join our team. This position reports to the Director of Operations and leads a team of three employees. The Asset and Facilities Manager is responsible for monitoring and coordination of construction, major repairs, and routine maintenance of the Town’s building assets, including the municipal marina. This position supports the development and implementation of Asset Management strategies and frameworks at all levels of the organization and includes developing long-range infrastructure and capital plans in accordance with Town policy, service level and environmental and safety legislation.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture or other related field preferred; or Diploma from a recognized technical institute as a Civil Engineering Technologist, Facilities Manager, Building Technology, Project Manager or a combination of education and relevant experience;
- Minimum of 5 years' related experience in contract or project management, including proven management supervisory experience;
- A background in building and facilities operations, capital planning, and asset management, including the preparation of annual asset management plans;
- Knowledge of municipal operations, including applicable statutes, bylaws, rules, regulations, and policies;
- Extensive knowledge of project management principles and practices and Asset Management Planning;
- Ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities, work independently and perform duties quickly and accurately;
- Strong organizational, management, leadership, communication, and human relation skills;
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License; and,
- Current clean criminal record check.

The salary range for this position is $95,000 - $105,000 and includes a competitive benefits package.
