OverviewOur client, a leading agribusiness in Ontario, is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee customer service and operational excellence at their Orangeville facility. This role is pivotal in ensuring efficient order fulfillment, inventory control and high-quality customer experience, while driving continuous improvement and team development.ResponsibilitiesOperational Leadership: Manage daily plant and warehouse operations including fertilizer blending, bagging and logisticsTeam Development: Coach and support staff to meet performance goals and foster a culture of accountability and growthInventory Management: Lead shrink reduction initiatives, reconciliation processes and year-end countsCapital Projects: Support planning and execution of facility upgrades and equipment investmentsRecruitment & HR: Drive seasonal and full-time hiring, performance reviews and personalized development plansHealth & Safety: Lead safety programs, inspections, and emergency response planningEnvironmental Compliance: Ensure responsible facility operations and liaise with partners on sustainability initiativesThis is a hands-on role, busy times at the facility will require all team members contributing to get the job doneDesired ProfileProven experience in operations management within agribusiness or a related industryStrong leadership, communication and organizational skillsAbility to manage cross-functional teams and drive strategic initiativesKnowledge of inventory systems, H&S regulations and environmental standardsPrevious experience operating equipment is an assetThis is a unique opportunity to join a values-driven organization with a strong reputation in the agricultural sector.
