This is a hybrid role based out of our Surrey, BC head office. You’ll work closely with the broader People team to optimize Talent Acquisition operations, drive process improvements, and contribute to key projects – blending hands‑on recruiting with operational leadership. This is a 12‑month maternity leave cover. Expected Compensation: The expected hiring salary range for this role is $84,000 to $105,000, based on a 35‑hour work week. Your rate of pay will be determined based on your individual qualifications and experience, while considering internal equity. You’ll lead day‑to‑day recruitment operations while guiding members of our a high‑performing Talent Acquisition team. With ownership of your own recruitment portfolio you’ll balance hands‑on delivery with leadership, systems ownership, and continuous improvement. Working closely with HR and business leaders, you’ll bring data‑informed insights to strengthen sourcing strategies, improve processes, and help develop the talent acquisition function at Westland. Experience leading projects and process improvements in People/HR operations, including sourcing strategy and recruitment workflows. Data‑driven approach: skilled in analyzing recruitment metrics and making actionable recommendations. Proactive sourcer with experience in remote recruitment and teaching sourcing strategies to others. Excellent communicator, able to build trust and influence hiring managers, HR partners, and team members. Dayforce experience is a strong asset, including managing recruitment workflows, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. Tech‑savvy and adaptable, proficient with MS Office, recruitment tools, and emerging technologies (including AI for process efficiency), thriving in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment. Strong sense of urgency and prioritization, balancing high‑volume requisitions while coaching others. Once here, you’ll: Mentor, and inspire a small number of recruiters, including regular 1:1s, coaching, and day‑to‑day support Support onboarding and training for Talent Acquisition team members, including systems, processes, and ways of working Own a recruitment portfolio (high volume) with hands‑on recruitment delivery Develop and guide effective sourcing strategies while ensuring adherence to recruitment standards and best practices Build strong partnerships with hiring managers to understand current and future hiring needs Manage recruitment escalations, including complex searches and hiring manager concerns Lead and contribute to Talent Acquisition initiatives under the direction of the Senior Manager, such as process improvements, documentation, and team learnings Own Dayforce recruitment operations, including troubleshooting, system optimization, and continuous improvement Use data and insights to improve recruitment processes, strengthen pipelines, and support proactive workforce planning #LI-LH1 #LI-Hybrid Want to get to know each other better?
