As anOccupational Therapist (OT) on our team you are responsible for developing programs that enable individuals to participate, to their fullest level, in activities that occupy their daily lives. Your client-base will consist of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), as well as individuals of all other ages and needs. Employment setup: Part-time Schedule: Monday to Friday, 3PM to 7PM EDT Take an inside look at what you will do each day: Assess client needs and family priorities as part of an interdisciplinary team Travel to schools - both downtown and midtown (Mileage offered) Complete assessments using tools such as standardized tests, criterion or curriculum referenced materials, or checklists Develop and implement a treatment plan for each client, based on assessment results Develop reports as required Consult to Behaviour Analysts who supervise Applied Behaviour Analysis Programs for Children with ASD and other needs Work collaboratively with the family and other community professionals Maintain knowledge in current evidence‑based practices Collect data and make evidence‑based decisions in treatment Supervise students pursuing education in Occupational Therapy Represent OT department in Monarch House by contributing to clinical policies and procedures and other centre‑wide visions Here is what you will need to be successful: At least 2 years’ experience working with children with ASD Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapist (OT) Experience and familiarity with assessment tools (standardized tests, etc.) Knowledge of current research and literature in the Occupational Therapist (OT) field Member of college (COTO) or COTO eligible Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to take initiative Flexibility in scheduling clients What can Monarch House offer you We are proud of our friendly environment, supportive leadership and the knowledgeable team members who make it all possible.
