Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), you will showcase your professional aptitude while developing meaningful relationships across BURNCO.What You Will Be DoingExecute strategies developed with the COO and Executive Team within the BURNCO Strategic PlanLead policy, cultural, and organizational change to drive team progressPursue business growth and vertical integration opportunities in BCBuild relationships with the local union and lead collective bargaining processesPromote and advance our safety culture across operations; proactively address safety and environmental concernsManage risks related to safety, quality, and insuranceProvide leadership and direction for Ready Mix operations to achieve and exceed company performance goalsDevelop, approve, and execute budgets and forecastsMonitor operational performance to meet or exceed targetsCollaborate with peers to implement best practices and operational benchmarksDrive cultural development to support our work environmentRecruit, organize, and develop employees to build motivation and performance excellenceBuild leadership pipelines and create growth opportunities for emerging leadersMaximize profitability and long‑term company valueDevelop and maintain strong internal and external business relationshipsOversee maintenance, replacement, and readiness of company assetsLead the adoption and integration of technology and automationWhat We Would Like From YouA Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field10 years of experience in the construction materials industry, with 5 years in a leadership roleDemonstrated commitment to safety and environmental excellence with experience leading related programs and policiesStrong financial and business acumen with proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysisExceptional leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and inspire teamsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilities to build strong relationships with employees, customers, and stakeholdersDemonstrated problem‑solving and decision‑making skills with the ability to think strategically and execute tacticallyDeep understanding of the construction materials industry, including market trends, customer needs, and regulatory requirementsExperience with labour relations and working in a multi‑union environment considered an assetLocation and Other Key DetailsThis is a full‑time permanent position based out of our Burnaby OfficeThe hours of work will be Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week with occasional additional hours as requiredRegular travel to our Langley siteSalary Range: $185,000 – $195,000Why BURNCO?Be part of a supportive, high‑performing team that values your growth and successAnnual performance bonus program that rewards your contributionsEnjoy competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package, paid time off, and moreExperience our inclusive, collaborative, and safety‑focused cultureTake part in team events, professional development activities, and community initiativesJoin us and be part of an organization that values safety above all.
