Given our reputation within the industry, business is fast growing and we have an opportunity for a new General Manager who will be responsible for scaling our operations up of a small to a mid sized consulting engineering company with 30-50 members in the next 3 years.
**Job description**
In your role as the General Manager, you will be leading a multi-disciplinary engineering company to becoming a leading engineering company within Canada. You will be devising short
- and long-term goals, and enforcing these strategies and communicating with the principals regarding the decisions which will affect the direction of the company.
Your main responsibilities are as follows:
1. Meeting with executive board members to assess goals, directions, plans, strategies and regulatory compliance.
2. Overseeing budgets, staff, and executives.
3. Leading business development, also in the competition for new services.
4. Overseeing operations and ensuring goals are met through established strategies
5. Listening to reports of the company’s other leaders
6. Monitoring the company’s financial needs and analyzing budgets and reports
7. Creating and revising plans to improve the company’s profitability and growth.
8. Driving revenue to meet revenue and profitability targets.

Education
1. A bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
2. MBA preferred but not required.
