We are also advancing the South Railroad Project in Nevada and recently acquired the Musselwhite Mine in Northern Ontario, which has a 25-year operating history and potential for resource expansion.We are committed to responsible gold mining, creating sustainable value, and fostering a culture of excellence, respect, and care.PurposeAs part of our Musselwhite Mine acquisition, we are recruiting a Financial Analyst. This role, based in Thunder Bay, will oversee and optimize capital project investments, ensuring rigorous financial analysis, compliance, and effective coordination with project teams. The role reports to the Site Controller and is vital to the Finance department's success.Responsibilities include:Analyze and ensure the accuracy of financial data related to capital projects.Monitor and report on budgets, forecasts, and expenditures.Collaborate with site and regional teams to ensure financial compliance.Provide insights and recommendations for cost optimization.Support month-end and year-end financial procedures.Develop and implement financial systems and controls.Assist in business planning processes.Perform SOX compliance duties.Conduct reconciliations and adjustments.Work closely with site teams.Perform other duties as assigned by the Controller.Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or related field.3+ years in financial analysis, preferably in mining or heavy industry.CPA enrollment or comparable experience preferred.Strong analytical skills and understanding of financial data and accounting principles.Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office.Dependable, results-oriented, with integrity and ownership.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities.Ability to meet deadlines and adapt quickly.Professional demeanor with confidentiality awareness.Effective resource allocation and high-quality delivery skills.Working Conditions:Schedule: 5x2, 8-hour days.Seniority level:Mid-Senior levelEmployment type:Full-timeJob function:Finance and SalesIndustries:Mining #J-18808-Ljbffr
