Senior Electrical Engineering Lead Industrial and RenewablesBBA’s Vancouver office is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineering Lead to contribute to various stages of major electrical engineering projects in the industrial and renewables sectors. Opportunities include involvement from early business development to onsite equipment commissioning.The Senior Electrical Engineering Lead will utilize leadership skills daily to foster trusting relationships with regional partners, mentor junior staff, and manage project work.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with clients, project managers, engineers, designers, and drafters to prepare deliverables to BBA and client standardsIdentify client needs and prepare or review project reports, estimates, specifications, quotations, and proposalsLead, supervise, train, and mentor junior engineers during project executionCreate project scope, budgets, and schedulesPlan and monitor work assignments and costsMaintain communication with clients regarding active and future projectsQualifications and Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized universityP.Eng. or eligibility to register with EGBC as a P.EngMinimum 10+ years of relevant experience in power distribution systems within mining, industrial, or municipal sectorsExperience in preparing and reviewing technical documents such as reports, specifications, design drawings, and studiesPractical knowledge of MV & LV distribution in industrial plants, including single line diagrams, site layouts, and schematicsKnowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC)Experience in preparing HV/MV/LV electrical equipment specificationsExperience in preparing and reviewing project estimatesStrong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skillsA valid driver’s license and ability to travel within Canada, the USA, and internationally for short-term project assignmentsBenefits and Compensation:Annual base salary between $144,000 and $176,000Premium programs, on-site mobility premium, cellphone planGroup insurance starting day one, including short-term and long-term disabilityRetirement savings planVacation and sick leaveEmployee referral bonusesBBA considers various factors for salary determination, including market conditions, education, experience, certifications, and competencies.Employee Benefits:Growth opportunities aligned with your ambitionsVaried roles from technical to project managementMentoring opportunities and investment in employee developmentFlexible schedule combining office and remote workAnnual bonus program for all regular employeesAbout BBA:BBA is a leading private consulting engineering firm in Canada with over 45 years of experience in energy and natural resources.
