ResponsibilitiesLead and support projects and strategic initiatives identified in the County’s Strategic Plan, as well as projects assigned to the Corporate Initiatives Division and Strategic Initiatives Department.Maintain and update the County’s Major Project Dashboard in consultation with the Senior Management Team.Support the County’s data program, including responding to data requests and conducting annual reviews.Develop policies, strategies, plans, and other written documents to advance strategic priorities and help inform senior leadership on a range of topics.Organize and direct effective project teams and undertake multi-stakeholder engagement for the successful delivery of projects and initiatives.Proactively research key priorities and municipal sector trends, and recommend options, new initiatives or solutions for consideration.Lead or support the preparation of grant applications.Troubleshoot matters as requested and provide recommendations to aid in resolution while exercising judgement which may be political, sensitive and confidential in nature.Prepare reports and presentations to Council, Standing Committees, and internal and external committees and organizations.Other duties as assigned.Minimum QualificationsPost-secondary education in public administration, political science, business administration, or a related field.Five years’ progressive experience in a related field.Strong project management, organizational, and facilitation skills, with the ability to balance multiple complex projects independently and collaboratively.Demonstrated ability to develop and foster internal and external relationships.Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills.Broad understanding of municipal business activities.Research and data analysis expertise and the ability to summarize complex information into concise briefs and reports.Demonstrated flexibility, with the ability to pivot quickly in response to shifting priorities and pressures.Ability to think strategically and creatively, and use ingenuity to solve unique challenges.Strong political acumen and demonstrated political sensitivity with the ability to handle highly confidential matters with discretion.Ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation, including Ontario statutes and municipal by-laws.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital project management tools.Salary RangeSalary Range: $92,256 - $107,926 (Job Grade 8) 35 hours per weekThe application deadline: Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at 9:00 a.m.Date of Posting: Thursday January 22, 2026The County of Brant is committed to accessible recruitment practices.
