Senior IT Technical Advisor

About the role We’re looking for a Senior IT Technical Advisor - Production support (financial applications) to join our growing team As part of the D&A production support team, you will be part of a level 1 incident management team. What you’ll do here Take charge of incidents, change requests (RFCs), service requests, problem solving with all needed documentation. Assist with the resolution of escalated issues and actively participating in problem management activities. Be available for on‑call support (Rotation). Participate actively with support of the month‑end financial process (IFRS17) including the end‑of‑year process as defined with the Finance SLA. Participate in the management of fixes (configuration changes, migration, etc.) according to the security standards in force. Develop, implement, support and document automation to increase the efficiency of platform management. Strictly maintain team standards to ensure continuity of operations. Document the various activities and procedures according to established standards. Provides quality internal and external customer service surrounding the Company values. Participate in the documentation processes including network diagrams, utilization of monitoring/resource/inventory management tools. Collaborate with managers to develop standards in line with the company guidelines and monitor those standards. Participate in various projects to improve our infrastructure as well as business development projects. What you bring to the table Degree or Diploma in Networking or Technology, or any combination of equivalent education and experience. At least 5 years of experience in a similar role. Experience with financial processes and especially IFRS17 requirements will be considered a plus. Customer service focused and portrayed energy, professionalism and welcoming characteristics. Can meet deadlines and handle sensitive and pressured situations. Can identify issues and help develop strategy and tactical plans for various department initiatives. Can prioritize and organize effectively. Very good knowledge of network administration, architecture and engineering in mission‑critical environments servicing large server deployments. Knowledge of a wide variety of network equipment including but not limited to routers, switches, firewalls, denial of service mitigation, serial consoles, and load balancers. Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem‑solving abilities. Excellent documentation and communication skills. For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English speaking colleagues across the country.
