Responsibilities Completion of T1 tax returns for insolvency clients Understanding basic bookkeeping and tax engagements Manage multiple files simultaneously Summarize clients’ current financial status by collecting information Review, investigate and correct discrepancies in tax returns and financial information Ability to communicate and deal with CRA and regulatory bodies as needed Prepare correspondence and reports to management Assist with administering formal insolvency appointments including bankruptcies and proposals Develop effective working relationships with clients while coaching and mentoring junior team members Participate in business development initiatives and identify new business opportunities Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary Skills and Experience Ability to work under tight deadlines 3 to 4 years of relevant bookkeeping and accounting experience Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a related field is considered an asset General knowledge of relevant income and excise tax acts Experience working with accounting and tax software Understanding of business, accounting, management and practice development principles Experience with bankruptcy and insolvency an asset MyRewards@MNP With a focus on high-potential earnings, MNP is proud to offer customized rewards that support our unique culture and a balanced lifestyle to thrive at work and outside of the office.
