We\'re hiring a Safety Manager based in Dartmouth, NS where you will have oversight of two facilities - Dartmouth, NS and Stoney Creek, ON. This role encompasses supporting the locations totaling 30 employees. You will develop and implement comprehensive safety and environmental programs to ensure regulatory compliance and promote a culture of safety first and continuous improvement. This role will have exciting opportunities to lead change, standardize processes, and engage stakeholders to embed safety and environmental stewardship into daily operations.If you\'re results-driven and ready to reach the next level in your career, keep readingWhat You Bring To The TableResponsible to develop Safety standards in collaboration with key stakeholders, and in line with corporate standards to support alignment across Canadian sites.Lead day-to-day EHS activities across multiple sites, including site walkthroughs, hazard analysis, and compliance checks.Deliver safety training, support new hire onboarding, and ensure contractor safety programs are in place and effective.Conduct and update Risk Assessments on new and existing equipment, processes, and materials.Participate in projects and process changes as the EHS voice at the table ensuring safe and compliant rollouts.Accountable to prepare and submit annual regulatory reports for incidents, maintain permits and ensure environmental compliance at all locations.Maintain and test emergency response plans.Oversee hazardous materials handling, storage, labeling, and disposal, per national and provincial regulations.Drive incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective action follow-through.Act as a key culture builder with focus on safety first.Contribute to EHS audits and site inspections - internal and external.Continuously review and improve EHS policies, procedures, and training materials.Qualifications5+ years of EHS experience in industrial, manufacturing, or plant settings.Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or Environmental Science preferred.Familiarity with key Canadian EHS regulations (e.g. CEPA, CCOHS, CanOHS) and provincial OHS requirements.Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills; you can manage multiple priorities and communicate clearly both in-person and virtually.Proficient in Microsoft Office and confident in using EHS documentation systems and databases.Comfortable conducting safety training, audits, and walkabouts - you\'re a confident presence on the floor.Self-motivated and able to work independently while staying connected to a remote team.Able to travel up to 30% within the Americas region (some flexibility required).Our MissionA-Gas is proud to be a global leader in the lifecycle of refrigerant management and what truly sets us apart is our people and our workplace culture.
