Alone or in partnership with courts and other organizations, the NJI is involved in delivering the majority of education provided to judges in Canada. Education Officer – Full‑time, Permanent, Ottawa Responsibilities Provide administrative support for various functions within the In‑Person Education (IPE) department, including strategic planning, scheduling, data analysis, resolution processes, course descriptions, and reporting. Manage video production processes when these projects are in demand. Provide broad administrative support across IPE’s operations and may also be called upon to fulfill Events Coordinator duties for in‑person education programs. Qualifications Post‑secondary diploma or degree in Business Administration or a related field (or an equivalent combination of experience, training and education). Minimum of 3 years of experience in administration or project management. Fluent in French and English (R/W/O). Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and Asana. The ability to travel frequently within Canada. Preferred Qualifications Experience in drafting funding proposals for government‑funded initiatives. Experience with video production. Experience negotiating contracts with caterers, AV companies, etc. Skills Collect information and present options with professionalism and integrity. Exhibit a positive attitude; build and maintain relationships with colleagues, clients, providers and consultants using courtesy, professionalism and diplomacy; use effective persuasion, where necessary. Meet deadlines, work in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment and consistently demonstrate the ability to work on a team. Provide advice and options to inform decision‑making.Ability to develop procedures and business processes with consideration to safety and best practices. Maintain professional ethics. Compensation Compensation is to be determined at the time of hiring, based on the successful candidate’s experience and profile, within represented salary band 5: $62,218 to $77,772 annually.
