Job details Salary 50,000 to 55,000 annually (To be negotiated) / 40 to 60 hours per week Terms of employment Permanent employment Full time Work must be completed at the physical location. Work setting Restaurant Ranks of chefs Sous-chef Responsibilities Demonstrate new cooking techniques and new equipment to cooking staff Supervise activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks and other kitchen workers Create new recipes Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff Prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions Prepare and cook meals or specialty foods Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances Supervise activities of sous-chefs, specialist chefs, chefs and cooks Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food Leading/instructing individuals Supervision 1 to 2 people Credentials Food Safety Certificate Experience and specialization Vegan Disability benefits Paramedical services coverage Group insurance benefits Other benefits Learning/training paid by employer Other benefits Paid time off (volunteering or personal days) Team building opportunities Variable or compressed work week Wellness program Who can apply for this job?
