Successful candidates must be able to work from May 1, 2026 – August 28, 2026. Reporting to the Supervisor, Parks, this position is responsible for park maintenance duties.# # **Major Job Responsibilities****Major Job Responsibilities:*** Performs park maintenance duties including turf maintenance, horticulture planting and maintenance, garbage collection and other park beatification* Follows a schedule to provide routine service to parks and open spaces* Operates riding mowers and landscaping related equipment in accordance with industry standards* Represents the Town of Milton in a professional manner and works as part of a team* Complies with all health and safety practices as it relates to the work, standard operating guidelines and the Occupational Health and Safety Act* Performs other duties as assigned in accordance with Department objectives# **Education & Experience*** Enrolled in a secondary or post-secondary school* Documentation/proof of registration as a current full-time student **must** accompany the application; please attach the proof to your resume document* Previous experience with park and road maintenance duties, such as turf maintenance, horticulture, and roadway flagging is considered an asset**Certifications and Designations*** Minimum G2 license is required* Current Standard First Aid Certificate/CPR and WHMIS is considered an assetThe successful candidate must have a clean driving record that demonstrates responsible and safe driving habits. A recent driver’s abstract dated within 30 days will be required if selected for an interview.
