Recognizes and solves problems affecting production including schedules, staff, quality, and order of production flow.ResponsibilitiesBut not limited to… DutiesSupervises the warehousing and manufacturing of parts, material and fabricated productsFacilitates shop layout to maximize the optimum workflow to meet production labour efficiency goalsAssists the Branch Manager in the preparation of annual budgets and makes recommendations for shop asset purchasesPlans, organizes and coordinates the flow and storage of material throughout warehouse and coordinates the replacement and ordering of inventory to meet production demandsStages and prepare goods to be shipped; supervises retrieval, packaging, identification, handling and staging of all products to be shippedEstablish work schedules and co-ordinate activities with other work units or departmentsSupervises and ensures proper maintenance and control of shop equipment, forklifts and shop toolsCoordinate and inform sales personnel of expected completion dates, delivery datesResponsible for the schedule of jobs as to expected production flow, and coordinate scheduling as requiredCoordinates with shipping department as to schedule of jobs and when they are required to go outResolves work-related problems and prepare and submit progress and other reports to branch managerResponsible for the daily administration of the safety program and ensures standards for safe working conditions are observed by all employees. May be responsible for conducting safety meetings and elevating safety awareness by acting as an ambassador and role model for safety in the workplaceProvides training or assigns a subject matter expert to provide training of all shop staff in their tasks and responsibilitiesProvides team building, mentoring, leadership, direction & instruction to staff in a professional and respectful mannerEffectively deals with performance or behavioral issues in a professional and timely manner in consultation with the Branch Manager and Human Resources where applicable.Provides coaching and performance evaluations in a timely manner in consultation with the Branch ManagerEvaluates complaints received on product and take appropriate action to rectify the situationEnsures all customers (internal, external, on-site and off-site) are promptly, professionally and courteously attended toTrains workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies or send to applicable person for trainingEnsures the smooth operation of computer systems and shop equipmentSupports the branch in the achievement of goals and meeting and exceed deadlines to meet customer service levelsPerforms sundry duties as assigned by the Branch ManagerKnowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesStrong mathematical skillsAbility to read and interpret work orders, blue prints, measuring utensilsStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to get along well with co-workers – strong interpersonal skills absoluteProviding a positive role modelAbility to mentor and give directionExcellent communication skills, both written and oralLeadership and team building skillsProduct knowledge and experience requiredSound understanding of the hardware, door and building construction industry sectorGoal and result orientedFlexible and self-motivatedHigh level of commitment and accountability to get the job doneAbility to work independently as well in a team environmentEducation And Experience RequiredMinimum 3 years’ experienceProficient computer skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)This is a replacement position. #J-18808-Ljbffr
