Industrial Electrician $45.64/hr at Gerdau North America What The Position Entails Troubleshoot AC/DC motors, controls, PLC, electrical drives, low/medium/high voltage systems. Service the electrical aspect of pumps, motors, cranes, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems. Receive instructions, prints or work orders covering scheduled and emergency repairs, installation, and inspection work to be done. Maintain specified records of work performed, details of repairs, and materials usage on computerized maintenance management software (CMMS), work orders, logbooks, and checklists. Perform rounds and checks machinery condition using checklists or digital tools to identify abnormalities and ensure that machine functions are operating within the normal specifications. Operate material handling equipment such as cranes, tow motor operation including rigging. Demonstrate basic computer skills. Education/Experience Certificate of Qualification (Industrial Electrician - 442A or Construction Electrician - 309A) as recognized by Skilled Trades Ontario is required. What Gerdau Offers You Hourly Rate: $45.64/hr Overtime: weekly overtime opportunities. Shift Premiums: an average of $575/year in shift premiums. Cost of Living: Annual cost of living increases based on Consumer Price Index (CPI). Vacation Bonus: 50% bonus when vacation is taken outside of prime vacation periods. Holidays: Paid Statutory Holidays. Annual Tool Allowance: $150/year. Safety Boot Allowance: 100% company provided. Uniforms: 100% company provided. Pension: up to 6% contribution from Company with no mandatory employee contributions. Medical Benefits: 100% company sponsored. Full Dental and Orthodontia Benefits: 100% company sponsored.
