Industrial Millwright Position: Industrial Millwright ($45.64/hr) at Gerdau North America. What The Position Entails Inspect, install, repair, replace, and adjust mechanical equipment in the plant. Service the mechanical aspects of pumps, motors, cranes, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems. Receive instructions, prints, and work orders for scheduled and emergency repairs, installation, and inspection work. Find effective repair methods to minimize production interruption. Advise when immediate shutdown of equipment is necessary to minimize damage or when temporary operation poses no harmful effect. Maintain specified records of work performed, repair details, and material usage in CMMS, work orders, logbooks, and checklists. Perform round checks of machinery condition using checklists or digital tools to identify abnormalities and ensure machine functions operate within normal specifications. Perform assigned maintenance work on large and small producing units. Operate power‑driven mobile equipment and ordinary crane hooking. Education / Experience Certificate of Qualification (Industrial Mechanic/Millwright – 433A) as recognized by Skilled Trades Ontario. Experience in a heavy manufacturing environment. Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with exposure to bearings, pneumatics, hydraulics, lubrication, and rotating equipment. Strong communication and work ethic; ability to work in a team and with other trades. Basic computer experience. What Gerdau Offers You Hourly rate: $45.64/hr. Weekly overtime opportunities. Shift premiums averaging $575/year. Annual cost of living increases based on CPI. Vacation bonus: 50% bonus when vacation is taken outside of prime vacation periods. Paid statutory holidays. Annual tool allowance: $150. Safety boot allowance: 100% company provided. Uniforms: 100% company provided. Pension: up to 6% company contribution with no mandatory employee contributions.
