Engineering Manager with flair for incident handling and strong security focus Trackunit is looking for a stellar Engineering Manager to join our growing engineering team. You will lead one of our platform teams based in London, Ontario, Canada, made up of Site Reliability Engineers. Together, the team develops and maintains the platform that underpins our large‑scale IoT solutions and customer‑facing applications. The group is focused on streamlining platform initiatives across multiple product areas and building a scalable foundation for the future, with a strong emphasis on aligning tools and processes. They are responsible for platform scalability, core platform tooling such as observability and build systems, and security capabilities – both at the platform level and through tooling that supports developers across the organization. You will be part of a functional leadership team with shared responsibility for the underlying platforms and infrastructure hosted on AWS, and you will play a key role in major incident handling and information security. With location in the heart of London, ON we offer a flexible hybrid setup with a preference for regular office attendance. Occasional travel to international sites is expected; no relocation assistance is offered for this position. Every day is different, but you can expect to Lead and manage an SRE team working mainly on AWS, Kubernetes and Terraform. Inspire, lead and motivate team members to reach their full potential through impact conversations and regular 1:1s. Facilitate the development process from road‑map planning to day‑to‑day planning and retrospectives for the North American SRE team, coordinating with the global platform agenda. Facilitate and support the operations of our global SRE community together with the leadership team for Site Reliability Engineering. Participate in on‑call rotations focused on major incident management and security. Define and maintain the strategic direction for your team, to ensure stability, scalability and security of the Trackunit platform. You drive incident resolution with a focus on uptime and TTR metrics impact. You are comfortable in a fast‑paced, changing environment where priorities shift and flexibility is key. You have experience building secure, scalable infrastructures. You think in scalable processes and solutions – the platform features we build are used by 190+ developers, so usability and standardization are key to ensure effective developer efficiency.
