A high level of commitment and a “can-do” attitude towards quality.CapacityUnderstanding the importance of time management and work ethic towards getting tasks completed to meet necessary requirements with high-quality standards.As an Accountant, you would be responsible to:Support core accounting functions including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll, job costing, and general ledgerLead portions of monthly, quarterly, and year-end close, including journal entries and reconciliationManage product pricing processes such as monthly pricing updates and corrections, annual pricing spreadsheets, and updating new price structuresPrepare internal reports, including partnering with other departments for necessary reportsAssist with audit and tax preparation, working with external auditors and advisors as requiredPerform costing analysis on products for internal partners as requestedAssist with continuous improvement and system optimizationOther duties and projects as determined by business needTo qualify for this role, you will have:Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, and/or equivalent experience1-3 years of accounting experienceAttention to detail in all areas of work, including research and analytical skills along with problem solving capabilitiesAbility to build collaborative relationships with the finance team and across departmentsStrong verbal and written communication skillsComputer literacy, including electronic data storage, and advanced Excel skills (i.e. Pivot Tables, complex formulas, etc)Previous cost accounting experience an assetBarkman offers you group insurance, a retirement savings plan, and product discounts.
