Develop research protocols and clinical outcomes related to HPB surgery, liver, pancreas, and islet transplantation. Teach medical students, residents, and fellows. Maintain a clinical appointment with the UBC Faculty of Medicine and actively engage in patient care, surgical education, and quality improvement.Qualifications• Formal training in abdominal transplant and HPB surgery (ASTS fellowship, AHPBA fellow, or equivalent).• Eligible for licensure in British Columbia.• Master’s degree in Sciences or equivalent preferred, with a background in outcomes research.• Proven experience in deceased donor liver transplantation, live donor liver transplantation, pancreas, and islet transplantation, and competency in open and minimally invasive HPB surgery.• Current Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) coverage mandatory.• Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) – Full licensure.• Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC) – Eligible or Full.• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PAL), and Emergency Experience desired.Legal and EEO StatementsVancouver General Hospital and UBC are committed to employment equity and welcome applications from equity‑deserving communities.
