OverviewProject Manager - Municipal/Transportation Engineering at Stantec. This role focuses on leading transportation infrastructure projects through environmental assessment, design, and construction phases, with a GTA-based team.Your OpportunityStantec's GTA based team is seeking a Transportation Engineering Professional to join our team of project managers, technical staff, and multi-discipline specialists. You will lead a team in the planning, design and construction of large-scale municipal projects in roads and transit sectors, with projects in various phases from environmental assessments and conceptual planning through design, construction, and occupancy.ResponsibilitiesManage multiple projects as a PM for Environmental Assessments and Detailed Design Projects, ensuring approved scope, budget, and schedule are maintained.Lead the Design Team including engineers, scientists, planners, coordinators, schedulers, and other consultants.Create innovative ideas to re-evaluate and improve business processes.Promote and oversee the safety program and safety culture.Provide day-to-day project oversight and maintain client and project team communications.Develop, track, update, forecast, and modify project schedules and budgets across all phases.Review and track contracts, invoices, and payments to contractors, consultants, and equipment vendors.Lead safety program governance, quality reviews, plan reviews, and inspections.Assist in contract negotiations among project parties.Oversee invoices and change orders; resolve disputes and claims as needed.Collaborate with colleagues in the multi-disciplinary design office.Financial management of projects and resource allocation.Support business development and lead proposal development.Capabilities and CredentialsProject Management Professional (PMP) designation is an asset.Excellent communication and leadership skills, with strong relationship-building abilities with team members, clients, and contractors.Strong organizational and time-management skills for handling multiple projects and meeting deadlines; ability to work independently.Strong work ethic with a drive to excel and inspire.Willingness to learn and be a motivated team player.Education and Experience15+ years of experience in Environmental Assessment Process and Approvals, Conceptual Design, Engineering, Technical Advisory, or Construction Management.Civil Engineering Technology diploma or university degree in engineering, construction management, or equivalent from a recognized post-secondary institution.Registered member of Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO) or Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technologists and Technicians (OCETT).About StantecStantec is a global leader in sustainable engineering, architecture, and environmental consulting.
