Schlegel Research Chair & Research Lead, Interprofessional Learning and Practice in Aging Join to apply for the Schlegel Research Chair & Research Lead, Interprofessional Learning and Practice in Aging role at Conestoga College. Position Summary: Full‑time administrative, new position. Reporting to the Director of the Centre for Health Care Research & Innovation, the Chair will advance the Centre’s strategic objectives related to growing a research programme on interprofessional team development in the care continuum for older adults. This includes the implementation of a strategic plan to apply for funding, conduct funded project activities, evaluate and report. With a clinical and/or healthcare background, specialization in geriatrics and/or gerontology, and interprofessional team development expertise, the incumbent will lead and collaborate to conduct impactful ageing research in congregate and broader community living settings, including the intersection with the continuum of healthcare settings. The Chair will advance research on interprofessional team development, with a specific focus on organisational learning, training and simulation, to improve teamwork between disciplines and enhance the quality of life and care for older adults. Drawing from robust industry experience, the Chair will have an advanced understanding of the current state of the healthcare workforce and the interprofessional team approach to care. The incumbent will build on a network of contacts for community and industry stakeholders, policymakers and experts in gerontological research. The Chair will collaborate with the Centre for Health Care Research & Innovation and the Schlegel‑UW Research Institute for Aging (RIA), conducting research at Conestoga College and the RIA, fulfilling service requirements such as public engagement, presentations and education. The Chair is expected to initiate new interdisciplinary research projects in collaboration with scholars and partners both within and outside the Conestoga and RIA community. The successful candidate will work within Ontario, with a hybrid arrangement of three days on‑site at the Doon campus in Kitchener and two days remote or on‑site at the RIA within the Centre of Excellence for Innovation in Aging in Waterloo. Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., subject to change; weekend and evening work may occasionally be required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
