Financial Planning and Analysis Manager

The RoleTo propel Evident’s digital transformation vision, we are looking for a strategic Sr. FP&A Manager to help build our FP&A function with the mission to enable actionable insights and facilitate strategic decision making. Reporting to the CFO, the incumbent will drive the business’s annual budget process and provide value-added financial forecast, analysis and management reporting. The Sr. FP&A Manager will also be an active contributor to Evident’s integrated strategic planning process and cross-functional strategic initiative execution.What You’ll DoDevelop and monitor the business’s annual budget event, including establishing comprehensive budget tools and acting as project manager to ensure budget delivery on time and with high quality.Collaborate with the accounting team to provide monthly, quarterly and annual actual vs. budget analysis with actionable insights and help ensure financial reporting accuracy and drive business performance outcomes.Partner with cross-functional leaders to establish driver-based rolling forecast practice with a focus on tool and process development.Partner with senior leadership to develop management reporting to enable actionable insights for both internal and external stakeholders.Provide financial modeling, analysis and business analysis to support the business’s strategic initiative approval decisions and execution.Provide inputs on FP&A function vision and development strategy in terms of people, process and system.Play a linchpin role across functions and act as a strategic translator between business and finance to drive effective communication and meaningful collaboration.Help improve business acumen of finance function and finance acumen throughout the organization.Other ad-hoc initiatives / tasks as assigned.Qualifications10+ years of progressive finance professional experience and 5+ years of FP&A leadership experience in the technology SaaS sector; finance experience with HealthTech SaaS business is an asset.Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics or business; CPA or CFA required, MBA an asset.Strong analytical and modeling skills to prepare dynamic financial forecasts, financial analysis and business analysis.Deep business acumen in SaaS high-tech business sector with ability to translate business growth strategy into driver-based financial models; experience with Series C+ startups preferred.Outstanding communication and presentation skills to articulate complex financial concepts and issues in a simple manner and tell a compelling business story to drive sound decision making.Strong adaptability to an ever-changing business environment and critical thinking capability for efficient and effective problem solving.Passionate about dedication, innovation, curiosity, learning, customer-centric service and compassion.Previous experience in building FP&A function or supporting finance function scalability is beneficial.Why Join Evident?Impact: Be the builder and leader of the FP&A function and contribute to finance function scalability and Evident’s exponential growth journey.Promising Business: Work in a dynamic, high-stakes environment with abundant growth opportunities.Professional Growth Opportunity: We’re growing and scaling, offering plenty of professional learning and development opportunities across the organization.Seniority LevelMid-Senior levelEmployment TypeFull-timeJob FunctionFinance and SalesIndustrySoftware DevelopmentLocation: Burnaby, British Columbia, CanadaSalary: CA$130,000.00 – CA$150,000.00Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at EviSmart™ by 2x. #J-18808-Ljbffr
