**Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis**

As the **Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis you **will be responsible for oversight of financial planning and analysis activities. You and your team will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, variance reporting and analysis of operating costs. Your role will be to lead a team that proactively partners with the business to understand the link between operational and financial results, provide business insights, and be a key financial partner.

This competitively rewarded role will enjoy hybrid working arrangements which can be fulfilled primarily from the Vancity head office location and your Lower Mainland based home office. Periodically, in-person events or activities will be required of you.

**A typical day would involve**:

- Building relationships with senior leaders to identify strategic initiatives and coordinate projects that address organizational opportunities and risks
- Manage the preparation and communication of reports and analysis at month and quarter end to communicate financial results, including proactively identifying opportunities for improvement and potential risks.
- Communicate complex information in a concise manner that gives Senior Leaders confidence in the underlying analyses.
- Key support of the strategic planning, annual operating budget, and forecasting processes.
- Ownership of the creation and maintenance of financial models and dashboards to help explain financial performance.
- Ongoing coaching and development of your team
- Run large complex projects that improve our ability to deliver data driven financial insight to key stakeholders within the organization resulting in a more efficient operations.
- Proactively seeking opportunities to improve processes and forecasting accuracy.
- Using technology solutions to your advantage.

**You have**:

- University degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or other related discipline. Chartered Public Accountant Designation
- 7+ years of progressive finance, financial analysis, and reporting experience. Management experience is considered an asset.
- Strong financial background, and expert knowledge of Excel is required. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics and Power BI is considered an asset.
- Strong analytical, modelling, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and can collaborate with individuals across divisions.
- Keen ability to distill and summarize large and complex data sets in a simple and concise way and present it clearly without losing sight of the big picture.
