Manager, AssuranceRise CPA is looking for an Assurance Manager to join our diverse, collaborative team In this client‑facing leadership role, you will work closely with our team of managers and associates to implement accounting, tax, and business planning strategies for clients.About the RoleAs a client‑facing leadership role, you will work closely with our team of managers and associates to implement accounting, tax, and business planning strategies for clients.Your Primary ResponsibilitiesOverseeing client engagements and honoring commitments, leading to work being completed on time, on-budget, and meeting our high‑quality standards, resulting in highly satisfied clients.Managing files, including setting project budgets, planning project activities, monitoring progress by staff, and reviewing projects for accuracy and completeness.Solving dynamic accounting and tax questions and problems.Mentoring and managing your team – lead by example and direct staff on engagement priorities.Acting as the day‑to‑day client relationship manager.Reviewing financial statements and corresponding tax returns for select clients.Preparing submissions for CRA.Supporting the marketing of our organization to existing and potential clients, as needed.Required Experience, Qualifications and CharacteristicsUndergraduate university degreeCPA designation5+ years of public practice experience, working on reviews and compilations for a variety of clients. Audit experience is an asset.1+ years of experience managing a teamThorough understanding of ASPE, ASNPO and generally accepted auditing standards and common audit procedures and techniquesAbility to research and analyze financial statement and audit‑related issuesAbility to provide accounting insights to clients in a clear and concise manner, including insights into complex accounting issues.Familiarity with the issues and challenges faced by small‑to‑medium sized businessesIndependent, highly motivated, and a self‑starterMulti‑tasker and can manage multiple clients simultaneouslyExcellent communication skills (both written and verbal) – commitment to maintaining an open, transparent dialogue with colleagues and clientsEffective relationship‑builder – we want our clients and your direct reports to enjoy working with you‘One Team’ mindset – openness to collaborate with all colleagues and bring positive energy to the team.BenefitsCompetitive compensation packageCommitment to support your continued professional developmentOpportunities to advance and grow in the firmHybrid workplace and flexible hoursAccess to diverse work – as a full service accounting firm, you will get a wide exposure to various work including assurance, taxation, and audit.
