Veterinary Technician Practicum – NVA Canada Join the NVA Canada VT Practicum Program to gain real‑world experience in a supportive, dynamic environment. The program is designed for final‑year veterinary technician students and offers practicum periods ranging from 2 to 8 weeks that fit your schedule and career goals. Responsibilities Work alongside experienced veterinarians and Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVTs) to develop clinical skills in patient care, laboratory procedures, anesthesia, surgical assistance, and radiology. Assist in patient care and routine clinical tasks under the supervision of veterinary staff. Engage with medical teams and clients to enhance communication skills. Eligibility & Requirements Current enrollment in an accredited veterinary technician program in Canada. Completing the final practicum during your final year. Strong interest in veterinary medicine and willingness to learn. Benefits Stipend to cover travel expenses. Mentoring from experienced RVTs. Opportunities to sharpen a range of clinical skills.
