OverviewThe Microsoft solution designer is responsible for designing Microsoft enterprise solutions, ensuring that they meet the business and technical requirements of the organization. This role requires on-site presence.ResponsibilitiesGuide on the effective use of Microsoft enterprise solutions and architectures to achieve business outcomes in alignment with business requirementsProvide solution architecture design and recommendations to project teamUnderstand business and technical requirements to provide solutions enabling business goals and support delivery outcomesLead in designing, specifying, and selecting Microsoft enterprise solutions, considering functionality, data, security, integration, infrastructure, scalability and performanceEnsure alignment with the overall Business, Application, Information and Technology principalsContribute to Enterprise Architecture principles and methodsUpdate the Enterprise Architecture repository maintaining impacted components, relationships, and attributesLead the organization in leveraging emerging Microsoft technology and use knowledge of IT solutions to drive organizational change and support business process designUnderstand and support software architecture design and support development team in developing solutionsEstimate cost, and assist in business cases for solutions, considering infra, licenses, development, and supportWork with the Project Managers and Business Analysts to develop project schedule tasks and resource plans for solution deliverQualificationsBachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Info Systems or Business Management, or related discipline5-7 years’ experience in a similar position, including 10 years in professional IT environmentExperience providing technical direction to less experienced team membersExperience working in enterprise architecture solution design in a diverse IT environmentExperience creating design documents for solutionsGood understanding of solution designs relevant to commercial off the Shelf (COTS) including enterprise systemsExperience with web application architecture, trends and emerging technologiesAbout UsFounded in 1882, J.D.
