Financial Advisor – Toronto Downtown RBC invites you to apply for the Financial Advisor role at our downtown Toronto branch. This position is part of RBC’s retail branch network and requires full availability during retail branch hours, Monday–Saturday until 8:00 PM and Sunday as applicable. Job Description As an RBC Financial Advisor, you attract, nurture, and grow relationships with high‑value personal and small‑business clients, providing proactive, professional advice and collaborating with RBC partners to support clients’ goals and key life events. Responsibilities Consistently demonstrate empathy, kindness and understand client circumstances, motivators and concerns. Communicate effectively to uncover client needs and deliver client‑centric advice, resolving concerns at first contact. Utilize your own and RBC partner advice capabilities to meet clients’ complete suite of financial needs. Provide professional advice on credit and investments, ensuring recommendations are appropriate. Champion digital enablement, educating clients to self‑serve and encouraging choice of channel. Use technology to connect with clients virtually and face‑to‑face. Implement relationship‑building strategies that accelerate client acquisition and retention locally. Collaborate with specialists in financial planning, retirement, mortgages and business banking to deliver customized advice. Qualifications Must‑have Valid Mutual Funds accreditation (Investment Funds in Canada or Canadian Securities Course). Completed Designated Financial Services Advisor (DFSA) designation. 1–2 years of proven sales experience in the financial services industry handling credit and investments. Demonstrated ability to build trust and maintain long‑term client relationships. Digital literacy across a broad range of devices. Nice‑to‑have Active community network development.
