Community Outreach Coordinator Let’sStopAIDS is a Canadian youth-HIV charity focused on HIV prevention and knowledge exchange by engaging young people and fostering leadership. Since 2004 we have been creating a global network of youth-HIV leaders. Responsibilities Research and develop outreach activities, including community events, workshops, appearances and other communication opportunities, working together with Youth Programme Coordinator and the Youth-HIV Conference Coordinator to create synergy between the activities. Nurture new and old relationships with collaborative partners. Schedule regular outreach exhibitions in the community and educate employees on community responsibility. Prepare accurate records and reports on the Peer Education goals of its outreach objectives. Assist LetsStopAIDS in special events, including donor/volunteer appreciation events and other fundraising initiatives and other duties as assigned. Qualifications We are looking for a Community Outreach Coordinator who is a results-driven team player to join our National Team. You will lead our community outreach within the HIV community. You will mentor our outreach ambassadors to drive LetsStopAIDS’ reach and reputation by engaging with our target audience online and in person. You are engaging, friendly, non-judgmental and open. You also have a strong knowledge of sexual health education and the stigmas associated with HIV. You will connect with the HIV community, organizations or individuals to develop unique relationships and possible sponsorship agreements. All interested individuals are encouraged to submit their applications. The successful candidate should be able to commit to a minimum of 5 hours per week.
